Celebrating her first birthday in her new home of Kelowna (I am only slightly jealous!), Teresa's husband arranged for me to send birthday cookies.  She sent me a message to let me know that it was a great little taste of home, but suggested that next time I tell her husband to order 2 dozen!

Celebrating a birthday is made more special with cookies!  Happy 40th birthday, Jennifer!

A few years ago I saw some darling birthday cookies created by another cookie artist, the Flour Box Bakery.  Their cookies had cake silhouettes on them and I thought that one day I would like the opportunity to make something similar.  So when Karen asked me to create these cookies for her co-worker and left the design up to me, I ran with the cake silhouette idea.  I scoured the internet for inspiration, found appropriate clipart and used it to create these cookies.  When I was all done, I went back to the inspirational cookies from FBB and guess what, theirs have the exact same silhouettes!  Too funny!
