Basketball Cookies

These basketball cookies were made for a young lady to share with her team-mates.  The same day they got picked up my daughter got a text from her good friend stating "someone beside me is eating one of your mom's basketball cookies!"  Small town living... that and a lot of cookies head out the door!

Minecraft Cookies

Here is my confession.  I don't know what Minecraft is.  I have done quite a few sets of Minecraft cookies and despite my research, I still don't feel any smarter when it comes to Minecraft.  I don't think the eaters of these cookies mind one bit!

Aurora Tigers hockey jersey cookies.  Well, at this point they can be any team's jerseys, it is the colour that makes them unique.

I use a projector to put the names on the cookies.  Those words are not done free-hand!

These cookies are drying.

Finished cookies, one for each kid on the team!

Minnie Mouse Cookies and Cookie Cutter Modification

Despite my large collection of cookie cutters, I sometimes don't have the exact right cutter needed.  For these Minnie Mouse cookies, I needed to modify my Mickey Mouse cutter to include a bow.  Using a cutter is always easier than hand-cutting a cookie, so I searched through my cookie cutters until I found this bunny.  Those ears were perfect for the job.

After cutting the mickey ears and then the bunny, I separated the dough and removed all the bunny parts except the ears.

The dough bakes together and any imperfections will be hidden by royal icing.

The first step of the icing process....

And here are the finished Minnie Mouse cookies.  So cute!!
